Find Your Eye Shape
There are six common eye shapes to consider when determining what your eye shape is: monolid , prominent, almond, downturned, hooded, and deepset. Read our descriptions below to see what best resembles your eyes.
Suggested Styles:
Cat’s Eye
Squirrel
Round
Suitable Curls:
B, C, M curls
Round Eyes
If you have round eyes, your crease will always be noticeably visible. Another way to figure out if your eyes are round is by looking straight in the mirror and noticing whether or not you can see white on the top or bottom of the iris. If you’re able to see any white it’s clear you have round shaped eyes which often at times appear more open.
Suggested Styes:
Cat’s Eye
Squirrel
Doll
Suitable Curls:
B,C, D, M, L+
Almond Eyes
When you look straight ahead at the mirror, if you can’t see the whites of your eyes below the iris (the coloured part), you have almond shaped eyes.
Suggested Styes:
Squirrel/Kitten
Modified Open Eye
Doll
Suitable Curls:
C, L, L+, M
Downturned Eyes
The easiest way to determine if you have downturned eyes is to look at the outermost corner and see whether it lifts up or downward. If the outer corner points down, then you know you have downturned eyes.
Suggested Styles:
Cat’s Eye
Squirrel
Doll
Suitable Curls:
B, C, D, L+, M
Upturned Eyes
If you placed a straight line across the center of your eyes, would the outer corners by your temples be above or below the line, or right on it? If your answer is above the line, you have upturned eyes.
Suggested Styles:
Open Eye

Doll
Suitable Curls:

Hooded Eyes
If your eyelid crease is not visible when your eyes are open, then your eye shape is hooded. You’ll look great in lashes that are long in the center and taper at both ends, giving the illusion of added depth.

Deep Set Eyes
If you have deep set eyes, your eyes look larger and are set deeper in the eye socket, which creates the illusion of a more prominent brow bone.

Cat’s Eye
Squirrel/Kitten
Modified Open Eye
Suitable Curls:
B, C, D, M
Prominent Eyes
If your eyelid crease is not visible when your eyes are open, then your eye shape is hooded. You’ll look great in lashes that are long in the center and taper at both ends, giving the illusion of added depth.
